The spaces are located on the Queen Elizabeth Hall slip road (between the Royal Festival Hall and Hayward Gallery). Make sure you display your Blue Badge as you enter; vehicles that do not display a Blue Badge are refused entry.
There are also 3 blue badge parking bays located on Belvedere Road opposite the Royal Festival Hall. These bays are located on a public road and are managed by Lambeth Council, not the Southbank Centre. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis
Blue Badge holders visiting us can also park for free in the National Theatre car park.
Alternative parking for Blue Badge holders visiting the Southbank Centre can be found at the National Theatre car park (330 metres away). The car park is accessed via the south-west corner of the National Theatre, on Upper Ground. The height restriction for vehicles using the car park is 6’2” (1.88m).
To redeem free parking here, visitors must scan their valid Blue Badge at a car park payment kiosk at the end of their visit.
The car park is open Mondays to Fridays (6am – midnight, and Saturdays and Sundays (7am – midnight). However, step free access from the car park is only available when the National Theatre is open (10am – 11pm Monday – Saturday). If you are using the car park outside of these times and require step free access, please ring 0207 452 3473 when you wish to enter or exit the car park and one of the National Theatre team will come and assist you.
Please note: As of Monday 22 June 2026 the National Theatre car park is to be upgraded to an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera system and new payment processes will be in place. Parking tariffs and terms & conditions apply and are clearly displayed throughout the car park. Blue Badge holders can park anywhere in the car park and there are spaces near the lifts reserved for use by disabled people.
Drop-off point
A drop-off point at the Royal Festival Hall (30 metres from the entrance) has been created for visitors who are unable to walk from alternative car parks.
